Projects

Some posters I designed and had printed for some recent birthdays:

School Valentine

If you're in Sascha's class at school expect to get one of these with a lollipop poked through his hand.

I uploaded the pic and he designed the rest in Photoshop.
So he likes Daft Punk and Tron....
I did have him remove the tomatoes he had over his eyes.
And the Mexican hat.
I thought the mustache was cute.

Here's the pic I got the idea from.
Can't remember the site though...

May Projects

Projects galore in May!

On a recent visit up to Canada, I gave each of the McMullin's a mug with their name on it, using my vinyl cutter:

A certain few got t-shirts I'd been meaning to make:

From a recent visit to Washington, Bevin clued me in that I needed to make my sis a shirt that says, "Dolly Mama." So I found this pic:

And created this one:

My cute nephews LOVE soccer and are champion players! Here are Takoda and Talon's shirts using this original:

And coming up with these:

Here's the original I used for Malachi's:
And my creation. Notice the sweet verbiage at the bottom:

For Mother's Day I made up a schlew of cards for my momma using my QuicKutz Sillhouette SD  machine, which I LOVE. A little more time consuming considering the volume (62 total), but they turned out quite nicely. If you're a Fyffe or married to one or even a child of one, expect to see one of these in the mail around your birthday:

My good friend Monica's birthday falls one week before mine. We were even born the same year! She loves Carrie Underwood. So I took this album cover:

And made Monica into a ravishing blonde (on her own t-shirt):

A while back I came across this quote and immediately thought of Monica. It fits her to the tee. So I also made this for her:

A special person in Monica's (and all the Anderson's) life is Johnny boy. He recently turned 30 and she asked that I make a shirt for him that they could give to him on their trip to Vegas (click here to view her blog of the Vegas trip). He had never been so that was their gift. He is in LOVE with Nascar and Jeff Gordon, so this is what I started with:

And this is what came of it:

And finally, Monica's daughter Baylee was also born in May. She LOVES the Princess and the Frog. I used this pic:

and created this one, putting it on a t-shirt:

I also made her a cake. You must give credit to Sascha for making the amazing frog on the cake. He's got great skilz! FYI, the bib on the frog reads: YUM. Pardon the Happy Birthday sign. I'd never painted on dried gum paste (very rough surface) and it wasn't a pretty sight. I couldn't waste it though. Maybe next time I'll try an edible marker or something...Click here to view pics from Baylee's celebration at Anderson Clan.

January Projects

Some of the projects I created in the month of January:

Using this pic...

I created an album cover and cd label and had it framed for Linny Pie who LOVES to sing:

For Jayce, I concocted a t-shirt using this idea:

For Ashy I also made a tshirt, but using this idea since she's an amazing mini mom and takes such good care of the little ones. Sadly, the woman's head seems a bit long in the face making it a bit of a challenge for Ashy's much smaller face. I'll go ahead and post anyway, but with embarrassment:

Bruuuuuuuce!

I have a husband who is smitten by a certain artist who is not known, persay, by his singing skills, but by the sheer energy and spirit he exudes. I've never been a big Bruce fan, but since marrying Steve and as years have gone by there might be a few songs I actually really like.

So to bring a smile to honeybob's face I chose this as one of the gifts I gave him for Christmas. When he first looked at it, I told him it was his picture (Steve's). He nodded in agreeance. He didn't realize until several moments later that it actually was him. See for yourself:

This album cover of Bruce:

+ this old picture of Steve:

equals this picture:

all together = one happy honeybob:

Oh No! Another Teenager!

We were invited over to the Anderson's pad to help Chase celebrate his rite of passage, turning 13. As with most birthdays lately, I've been known to throw together a bit of this 'n that and whip up a fun t-shirt for that "suspecting" person. I did not disappoint. Chase was anticipating one and he got one.

But first, here's a peek at the card I made, all the while snickering.
This pic was taken at Halloween time when the Anderson's tradition is to smash their faces right into the pumpkin guts. Quoted straight from their blog, "Chase had stipulations this year... My shower cap!! He would only participate in our silly Halloween tradition if his beautiful hair (his words)would not suffer from the pumpkin juices. Almost a teenager, can't you tell?"

I'm glad he wasn't offended by the Little Miss Muffet card and instead LOVED it!

Here's the t-shirt design:

And here's the lovely group of friends and family that helped Chase celebrate. Monica took this shot:

And I took this one. Notice how tired of smiling Chase is. Not the case for Bri-Fri(directly under the "A" on the wall) and Dawson (the dog):

Happy 13th Birthday Chase!!!
Thanks for inviting us to your party.
We love you!

Jones Soda Labels

In the past month I've worked on a couple of projects having to do with the Jones Soda Label. First, a good friend of mine wanted me to make some up for her son's wedding reception to have as a centerpiece on each table (3 per table = 45). So I opened up my trusty scrapbook program (haven't gotten comfortable enough with my Photoshop Elements to make it worth my time yet) and got to work. I used several different pictures of them, including childhood photos which I turned into black and white.
Finished product (click on any of the pictures to view full size):

I ended up adding some other elements alongside the label and had it blown up to a 1'x3' and put it in a frame as their wedding gift.

Secondly I made some up (since it was already fresh on my mind) for my friends' son's birthday. What kid wouldn't want to get some personalized labels that housed delicious soda pop inside?
On top of that I decided to make a t-shirt that resembled the label and spoke of Noah. He was excited to wear it to school the next day.
This is what I came up with:
