Fyffe Guests Day 4

Yes! It was yet ANOTHER gorgeous day for our guests. This is a pic of Brownsville Marina (the view we get to drive by as we go in and out of town (You know what I'm talkin' about Kristi and Andrea, who also enjoy the same view)). No complaints here.




We were on our way into Silverdale for a girls only lunch at the Olive Garden. It was Geeta, Kaitlyn, Denise and I. Denise brought her camera, but unfortunately forgot to use it. So the pictures we have here are ones that Danny just happen to take on our way over.



Again, I have the BEST family! Ungle Deeb and Ungle Danny were so nice to take Apollo, Sascha and Dennis to Lion's park in Poulsbo while the girls were stuffing their faces...



Later on (sorry, no pics), we enjoyed a big family get-together here at Gardner Villa and had a baked potato bar and watched slide shows. We ran out of time, otherwise we would have played some games too. Our guests went home with David and Geeta and slept over there for one night.

Fyffe Guests Day 5

Danny accompanied David to Seattle for David's work day. Later on, Denise, Austin, Dennis, Apollo and I met up with them at the Tacoma Mall after driving them along the Tacoma waterfront. We picked up Danny (David headed home) and headed on down to Olympia to see the State Capitol. My guests fancy State Capitols. It was great to peek inside and see the beauty all around. Marble floors and walls, amazing sculptures and detailed ceilings, etc....

Fyffe Guests Day 6

ANOTHER beautiful day!!! Toward the evening, more clouds rolled in, but nothing serious. Whew! Anyway, we all headed up to one of our favorite beaches, Point No Point up in Hansville.

Sascha thought he was going to play in the sand and brought along the sand toys. Later he realized it wasn't necessary. The sand was too cold!




Sarah and Dennis are almost a couple of months apart...





Apollo would have jumped right into the water had we let him. Aunt Geeta was close by to help keep a close eye on him. Did I mention I have GREAT family?




This is the sweet boat house we pass by each time come and go...






On our way home, we headed into Poulsbo and stopped by the, oh so famous, Sluys Bakery. Yum-O!!! And walked up and down along the shops.

Later when we returned home, Danny and Denise went out to a movie (Twilight) and to dinner to celebrate their 15th Wedding Anniversary.

Fyffe Guests Day 7

Thanksgiving Day here at Gardner Villa:

Food assignments were as follows:
Gardners: turkey, stuffing, caramel apple pie
D & G Fyffes: mashed potatoes & gravy, relish/veggie tray, deviled eggs, corn, pumpkin cheesecake with rasberry/cherry topping(it was DIVINE! I need the recipe Deeb!)
D & K Fyffes: green bean casserole, drinks, snacks (Yum-O crab dip Kaitlyn!)
Denise: made the BEST ROLLS EVER from scratch Thanksgiving morning (glad I got the recipe!)

After eating around 2pm, we all went on a walk around the neighborhood and came home for dessert and watched Christmas Vacation and home movies. Thanks everyone for such a fabulous time!

Since Pops can't quite make it up the stairs, we set up a video conference so we could see him and he could see us...

Steve volunteered to make the turkey this year. He had never done it before. It actually turned out quite delish!

Yes, I burnt the stuffing. That's what I get for trying to cook both dishes in the oven at the same time (in Pop's oven, which is a little smaller than ours). Okay, I also forgot to pour the stock over it before I cooked it. So I had to pour it over after it was done cooking. It actually was still yummy, believe it or not....

Grandma Sandra sent kazoos for all the grandkids. Here they are kazooing away...

Fyffe Guests...Last Day...Boo Hoo!

We truly had a blast with my bro and his fam. Time ran out and there was so much more we would have liked to see and do. We'll save that for next time...


I took us all back onto the ferry over to Seattle so they could have one last look at Pikes Place Market for souvenirs. Since Thanksgiving was past now, we listened to Christmas music. It was neat hearing the tunes and seeing all the Christmas decorations hung around Seattle. Their plane left at 3:30 and I was sad to see them go. I will have many fond memories to cherish.

Wot, No School?

Fun times have I, when I wake my son up to use the bathroom before I turn in for the night.
A couple of episodes to note:
After tinkling in the toitey I asked my son where he was going as he headed into the kitchen instead of back into bed. He said that he was going to eat breakfast and then get ready for school. I couldn't help but giggle.
Another episode was when I told him to make sure to wash his hands when he was done. I always listen to make sure he's doing what I'm telling him to do. Especially since sometimes he's not awake through the nightly ritual. After hearing the toilet flush I hear him in there brushing his teeth. I knocked on the door and asked why he was brushing his teeth. He said he got confused when I told him to, "wash your hands."
