Going Too Far

If you're looking for that "special" gift, look no more! This fabulous novel written by none other than my talented husband Steven Gardner, is still available on Amazon. Click here to view.

Claim to Fame....McCain

For those of you who know of my desire to make a "wall of fame" in my entryway of photos taken with celebrities, I just struck GOLD! The other day I was telling my better half that he should try and find the photos that were taken by some Seattle photographer when he brushed shoulders with Senator John McCain. Well, today we have those very photos. Yay! Thought I'd better share them since everyone knows who he is.

I took this blog piece below, straight from Steve's blog in case you're interested to know a little more about the historical day he experienced, although it may have been even moreso had the guy won:
In February of 2008, the week Mitt Romney suspended his campaign and threw his support behind John McCain, the Arizona senator and would-be president came to Washington. I got to ride with other reporters in a van that took him from Boeing Field to a hotel in downtown Seattle. The other reporters did most of the talking. I held a video camera for a while and listened. I got one question in, a follow-up question.Today I wrote about the event on my work blog, Kitsap Caucus. Go there to see my recollection of that day.

Steve Was On TV!

Here's a clip from TVW (Washington State Public Affairs TV Network), which I'm sure nobody watches, but I thought it was worthy of posting here since my very own Steve Gardner was featured on part of it. If you want to forward ahead to the part where he's speaking, go to 20:55. I'm so proud of my Honeybob 8-)

Meeting Apolo Anton Ohno

I'm not kidding! There was a meeting up with the famous Olympic Gold Medalist in Speedskaing, Apolo Anton Ohno! Too bad it wasn't I who got to meet him. It was my sis, Dolly. Lucky!!! Apolo is also famous for winning the last season (I think it was the 4th) of Dancing with the Stars! He was incredible to watch. Purely a natural. Might I add that about a month before he won the contest, I gave birth to my son, Apollo. It was perfect how that all happened. Anyway, they were doing a training session/barbecue meet and greet in Surrey, BC, where my sister lives. That's where they got to meet him.

So my sister was able to tell Apolo that her sister (me) named her son after him. He said, "No Way! That is soooo cool!" Oh I wish I could have been there. Oh well. She did get his signed autograph for my son Apollo. Here's some great pics of my sis and her kids with Apolo.
I'm soooo jealous!!!

Interviewing the Governer of Washington

My handsome husband interviewing our Governer, Christine Gregoire:

My Celebrity Look-Alikes

I had so much fun with this I had to try out more than just one pic...

I know my hubby'll be proud of who I look like on this one. Did they HAVE to include the second one though?

Oooh lala! Charlize and Scarlett both in the same lineup. I'm hot!!!

Just had to try out this pic my brother distorted of me. Or is it? I feel so blessed to look like Hillary Clinton! YES!!!! And Paul and Tupac!

Speaking of Fame

Might I add that I, too am famous. I thought this was definitely blog worthy. This picture of Howard Jones and I was taken at the Admiral Theatre backstage after his fabulous performance. Only select people were allowed backstage and because my friend's sister and her hubby catered the event, they made it so I got to be one of the lucky ones. Yes, this is an older picture. I was about three months pregnant with Apollo.

Here is one his songs that made him famous back in the '80's.

Famous Home Teacher

Steve sent me an e mail with these pictures. They're banner ads on the Kitsap Sun website. As I looked closer, I realized that this guy used to be our home teacher in our last ward. I thought it was blog worthy.
