I just gave my blog a face lift. If you notice the header up top I've added a new Gardner Villa logo along with our names and a quote that I love, "Home is where they love you."
I also added some slide mount titles along the sides of my blog. As I was at the site where I got this template from I noticed some newly updated spring templates. There are many cute ones. This one is my favorite. Mostly because of the colors:

Sunday morning we opened the curtains and voila... Church was canceled, of course. By late afternoon/early evening most of it was melted, which was good since we'd be having several guests over for Apollo's birthday dinner later that evening.
The kids were sure to take advantage of the powder...






Don't eat the yellow stuff!

For Cub Scouts, Sascha was supposed to make a cake with his Dad to take to the banquet later that evening. Since Steve had to get back to work, I helped Sascha finish up. So he and I both frosted and decorated these.

Everyone got to vote for their favorite. Sascha's ended up getting runner up to the best overall. My friend LaRee's son won best overall. His cake is the one that's a moon and stars. Sascha also was awarded his Bobcat. Way to go Bud! If someone would send me the pics (hint, hint...Heath and/or Errol) I could post them here of Sascha putting a Bobcat pin on me in front of the group.

This cute little guy never complains about me giving him haircuts. Isn't it amazing how different each child is? I have another one (much older) who still complains to this day!

If you don't live in this area, you're probably not familiar with the Mattress Ranch guy. The Kitsap Sun ran a front page story today about him (Ted Sadtler) and his business. It's actually very interesting. The guy used to creep me out, but after reading about him, I have more respect an appreciation. Click here to read the full story.

The second video, you'll notice, is someone very familiar. That's right, it's Honeybob! He rocks! He made up this little jingle, modeled after the Mattress Ranch theme song. I always love a good bargain. I like telling friends and family about my cool finds. Even my kids. Sascha always gets excited when I tell him of my amazing deals. I usually make him guess how much it costed and he usually replies with something like, "WOW, that's awesome!" Like last night I found the perfect gift for Apollo's upcoming birthday. I went to Toys R Us to look for Sesame Street characters for his cake, but couldn't find what I had in mind. But that's okay because I found some Wonder Pets characters instead, which Apollo LOVES! And let me tell you.... they were 90% off! So regularly $30 a piece, they ended up being $3 a piece. So I'll be making him a Wonder Pets cake instead. He'll love it! Here's what it should end up looking like:

Last night as I took Apollo into the bathroom to change his diaper and get his jammies on, I was taking off his shirt when out of the blue he said, "four dollars?" I couldn't help but laugh. He must be picking up on my bargain telling.

P.S. Here's a great deal if any of you have a PS2: Best Buy has the whole Rock Band set (game, drums, mic, wireless guitar) for only $50!!! Now that's a bargain!

Happy Monday morning! This is what I get to wake up to every morning. I surely can't complain one bit! Even when I'm a zombie from staying up too late the night before.
I finally broke down and bought these bibs from Ikea last week. I used this kind with Sascha and LOVED them. Why I didn't buy them sooner for Apollo? I DON'T KNOW!!! I would HIGHLY recommend them since all the food collects in the bib, alleviating messy laps. And they're a cinch to clean. They can go in the dishwasher, but I use them so frequently I usually end up hand washing them. I bought two, which is fine by me.

Also, I was so proud of my pun'kin this morning because he counted all the way to five! We were counting his piggies. He usually will count: 1-2-1-2-4-9. Something like that. But today it was: 1-2-3-4-5. Hooray! Sidenote: as I was just typing this up Apollo hit his head on the dining room table and immediately ran to me saying, "tylenol? tylenol? tylenol?" You'd think I drugged the poor kid a lot. I don't....
